Tuscan Building History
Built on the residential property of A.T. Wilcox, it reflects the architectural and industrial heritage of the late 19th century. The first tenant to occupy the building was the Textile Paper Tube Company, a business that contributed to the thriving textile industry that defined Fall River during that era.
The building has served various purposes within the textile industry over time, including the manufacturing of parachutes and apparel.
From 2005 to 2016, it was home to the Yomega Corporation, renown for its innovative yoyo designs. The Yomega yoyo with the “Brain” mechanism became a highly sought-after item, captivating schoolyards across the nation.
Over the years, the building has stood as a testament to the city’s rich industrial past. Its significance has been officially recognized, as it is proudly listed in the Fall River Register of Significant Structures, underscoring its historical and cultural value to the community.
